fitbit wireless earbuds
  • For all the fitness enthusiasts out there, you have a companion for all your workout sessions. Fitbit has stepped out from its usual fitness bands segment and launched its new wireless earbuds, Flyer. This product is priced at about $130 and is a sporty model designed to provide excellent audio and be sweat-proof during workout regimes. They provide a real competition to other competitors in this segment, including popular brands, by providing a quality product at a reasonable price. These ear-buds are available in two distinct colors, nightfall blue and lunar gray. Both these ear-buds have attractive metallic accents connected to an elegantly designed control box which appears in gunmetal and rose gold options for the nightfall blue and lunar grey models respectively.
Unlike the usual undersigned cables in most models, the cable acting as a connector between both the earpieces are flat and sleek in design and is equipped with a cable lock clip that is adjustable. This adjustable feature ensures that the wire does not flap around and reduces slack during rigorous activity.

    The control box design

In most of the wireless ear-buds that are available in the market today, the power button and the pairing button are usually integrated into a single button and placed on the remote that is attached to the cables. Fitbit has taken their design to a unique level by placing the control box near the ear-piece. This control box consists of three buttons, where one is set to adjust the volume, function button is to scroll through the playlist, and one for answering calls. The power/pairing button is built on the surface of the right earpiece.

Fitbit’s Flyer wireless ear-buds’ box contains a micro USB charging cable, easy to replace ear tips in various sizes, customizable wings and fins, and a protective pouch for carrying around your ear-buds without damaging them. The fins attached on the ear-buds by default are shaped to sit snugly in the ear’s ridge. The replaceable fins are designed for tighter fit based on different ear ridge sizes. The most notable feature of these fins, which are usually a little troublesome in some other models in terms of comfort or fit, is better designed on the Fitbit model to ensure there is no pressure on the ears or slippage during a longer duration use.

    The Music companion

Although this is Fitbit’s first venture into the sound arena, the Flyer wireless ear-buds provide a remarkable experience for the listener. It is programmed with two sound options, power boost, and signature. The former one is best suited for those who enjoy good bass effectuated workouts, and the latter is designed for a more ambient listening.

Fitbit’s Flyer wireless ear-buds are an all-round winner in the workout-headphones category in terms of both design and specs.
