  • Did you know the first smartphone was created in 1992? The IBM Simon was technically a smartphone but smartphones wouldn’t become commonplace until the release of the first iPhone in 2008. Since then, smartphones have come a long way and almost everyone owns one. Now they feature high quality cameras and an endless number of apps. Smartphone features and specs get better and better each year.

Here’s a list of the best smartphones of 2019:

    1. Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus

The Galaxy S10 Plus features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. It has a 4100mAh battery which makes it Samsung’s largest yet. It also has 3 separate cameras on the back, a 12MP regular lens, a 12MP optically zoomed telephoto lens and a new 16MP ultra-wide lens. This is a phone that will likely outperform every other phone on the market in 2019.

    2. The iPhone XS Max

The newest iPhone features a 6.5-inch OLED screen. For comparison the iPhone XS has a screen that is 5.8 inches. With a 3174mAh battery capacity and well optimized hardware this phone will have a charge all day long. It also has a 12MP dual-lens rear camera. This lower quality than other phones but along with an A12 chipset and smart HDR, this camera is better than ever.

    3. Google Pixel 3

The google pixel 3 sports a 5.5 inch screen and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It also has two front facing speakers which makes it great for on the go streaming. It features a 2915mAh battery which is lacking compared to other 2019 phones. The back camera is 12.2MP and includes Google software optimization, making it one of the best phone cameras on the market for 2019.

    4. Samsung Galaxy S10e

This phone comes with a 5.8-inch AMOLED screen making it a little smaller than most other phones. It has a 3100mAh capacity which is not the biggest but will last a good amount of time. The Samsung Galaxy S10e comes with two cameras: the standard 12 MP, f/1.5-2.4 Dual Aperture lens found in the phone’s predecessor and the second, a 16MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens that has a 123-degree field of view.

    5. OnePlus 7 Pro

The OnePlus 7 Pro features one of the best screens of 2019 at 6.67-inches. It has a 90Hz screen refresh rate. It comes with a 4000mAh battery and a warp Charge 30 adapter that allows this phone to go from 0% to 100% in a little over an hour, which is the main selling point of this phone. These features are great but it does lack a good camera. This phone is perfect for someone who doesn’t take many pictures or doesn’t mind that the pictures aren’t the best quality on the current market.

  • It has been proven by various studies that vibrating tech, while being therapeutic, can also help in relieving muscle pain. The vibrations increase the flow of blood throughout the body, which can speed up the healing time of any injury and reduce the pain experienced. This technology of vibration exercise and rehabilitation is being used in most physiotherapy centres to help patients suffering from a wide range of conditions. Vibrating tech also results in amazing results for athletes who are looking for a boost in their current training routine.

Vibrating tech definitely needs a professional touch; although some home versions of vibration therapy may seem appealing due to the convenience that it offers, it is wise to get professional help before jumping onto a home system. Without the guidance of a professional who has complete knowledge of the technology, you would not know how much of time you would need to spend on the system to get the results that you are looking for. Spending too much of time on the platform could result in spine and nerve damage. The vibrations are only effective when they are administered for the right period of time. A professional understands the delicate balance involved for proper vibration therapy and will also be able to guide you so that you don’t aggravate your existing conditions or develop new ones.

Vibrating tech, apart from curing muscle pain, also helps to loosen up your muscles and joints thereby reducing tension and inflammation; however, it also increases flexibility and helps break down unwanted scar tissue. Studies have also shown that vibrating tech helps to improve material density in the bones thereby helping to increase bone density and strength.

Vibration tech involves a mechanical, vibrating plate, or platform on which the patient stands which is adjusted to a pre-designed frequency to suit the patient’s individual goals and needs. As the machine vibrates, it transmits energy to your body, forcing your muscles to contract and relax a dozen times each second. This helps relieve any muscle pain that you may be undergoing. The body shifts back and forth with each vibration allowing your muscles to contract and relax with each slight shift. Vibration tech has been shown to significantly help reduce muscle soreness and creatine kinase, a blood marker that indicates muscle damage, while improving range of motion. In a study conducted by researchers to prove that vibrating tech reduced muscle pain, a group of physically active men were made to perform a series of strenuous arm exercises. After which the researchers applied fifteen minutes of vibration therapy to just one arm using a tech from Myovolt, a New Zealand-based wearable technology company. The result showed that applying vibrating tech immediately after exercising helped reduce muscle pain significantly.

In this way, one can see the benefits of using vibrating tech to get relief from muscle pain.

  • For a person who is totally in love with their java hit, it is usually difficult to find the perfect cup of coffee while traveling. And that is where portable coffee makers come in handy, as you can make a cup of coffee just like you like it even when you are on the go. Choosing the right coffee maker might prove to be a difficult task, as there are so many options to choose from. Before you pick a portable coffee maker that will suit your needs the best, you need to think of what you are looking for in your coffee maker like for instance what type of coffee you prefer, how much space you have in your luggage and would you like a power or powerless one.

Let’s take a look at some of the best portable coffee makers available in the market:

    • Aeropress coffee maker

: The Aeropress coffee maker has become one of the most popular brewing tools. The greatest advantage of Aeropress coffee maker is that it is suited for both home use and travel. It also scores high in portability and is lightweight and easy to clean. It makes a perfect traveling companion.

    • The Nomad portable espresso maker

: The Nomad has an eye-catching design and is one of the best portable coffee makers. • For all the fitness enthusiasts out there, you have a companion for all your workout sessions. Fitbit has stepped out from its usual fitness bands segment and launched its new wireless earbuds, Flyer. This product is priced at about $130 and is a sporty model designed to provide excellent audio and be sweat-proof during workout regimes. They provide a real competition to other competitors in this segment, including popular brands, by providing a quality product at a reasonable price. These ear-buds are available in two distinct colors, nightfall blue and lunar gray. Both these ear-buds have attractive metallic accents connected to an elegantly designed control box which appears in gunmetal and rose gold options for the nightfall blue and lunar grey models respectively.
Unlike the usual undersigned cables in most models, the cable acting as a connector between both the earpieces are flat and sleek in design and is equipped with a cable lock clip that is adjustable. This adjustable feature ensures that the wire does not flap around and reduces slack during rigorous activity.

    The control box design

In most of the wireless ear-buds that are available in the market today, the power button and the pairing button are usually integrated into a single button and placed on the remote that is attached to the cables. Fitbit has taken their design to a unique level by placing the control box near the ear-piece. This control box consists of three buttons, where one is set to adjust the volume, function button is to scroll through the playlist, and one for answering calls. The power/pairing button is built on the surface of the right earpiece.

Fitbit’s Flyer wireless ear-buds’ box contains a micro USB charging cable, easy to replace ear tips in various sizes, customizable wings and fins, and a protective pouch for carrying around your ear-buds without damaging them. The fins attached on the ear-buds by default are shaped to sit snugly in the ear’s ridge. The replaceable fins are designed for tighter fit based on different ear ridge sizes. The most notable feature of these fins, which are usually a little troublesome in some other models in terms of comfort or fit, is better designed on the Fitbit model to ensure there is no pressure on the ears or slippage during a longer duration use.

    The Music companion

Although this is Fitbit’s first venture into the sound arena, the Flyer wireless ear-buds provide a remarkable experience for the listener. It is programmed with two sound options, power boost, and signature. The former one is best suited for those who enjoy good bass effectuated workouts, and the latter is designed for a more ambient listening.

Fitbit’s Flyer wireless ear-buds are an all-round winner in the workout-headphones category in terms of both design and specs.

  • Fitness trackers have gained popularity as the best tool to monitor one’s health regime. The use of these trackers enables data to be converted into understandable statistics to view on the smartphone or computers can help understand one’s physical activity, heart rate, and the effect of any fitness regime that one is following. It is best for fitness enthusiasts. It also helps to keep an individual’s physical body in shape and more importantly fit.

The heart rate monitor sensors integrated into these fitness trackers help determine the best regime for a workout session and plan the remaining physical activity through the course of a day. These sensors detect the heart rate through the pulse points in one’s wrist, hand or chest. While the maximum heart rate depicts the maximum pulse rate recorded during extreme exercise or physical activity, exercise, heart rate evaluates the general pulse rate when the individual is doing a certain specific exercise for a set period of time. Resting heart rate is the general heart rate of the individual’s body when they carrying on their normal chores before or after exercises. The difference between the maximum exercise heart rate against the resting heart rate evaluates one’s fitness level and determining the average heart rate and steadily monitoring this during your workout regime ensures an optimum result that is achieved.

Apart from being a heart rate monitor, some of the other reasons why fitness trackers enable a better lifestyle is:

    Motivation:

Most people tend to pick up a regime and drop as quickly because they assume they do not visibly see any benefits. The use of a fitness tracker, be it to count the steps taken on an average day or to keep a tab on the calories burnt, helps to keep one motivated to keep progressing without dropping a regime. The chore of workouts becomes a fun-filled activity because the user can compare their stats over days, weeks and see the different signs of progress. Moreover, the app used to pair these fitness trackers to one’s phone also has the function of connecting with friends or even strangers who follow fitness regimes and therefore boosts one’s morale to perform better and stay physically fit.

    Focus:

While social media connection is an advantage, one has to remember that the ultimate goal is to compete with oneself. The trackers help to monitor your average level and using any one of the preprogrammed modes or your own workout regime. An individual can focus on staying healthy by minimizing their resting hours and allow oneself to push themselves only within safe limits. These trackers also have calorie counters, to help watch what you eat, a snooze alert to let you know when you have to move if your work is restricted to a computer or sit in a chair without being active for too long.

  • Gamification, a process of implementing gaming strategies and tactics to boost up productivity through a sense of competition, has become a norm in different forms of business due to its proven success methodology. This strategy is not entirely new because both bank cards and the airline industry has been implementing this process under the banner rewards system for its customers. While most companies have implemented this strategy successfully or in some cases mimicked accomplished corporates to avoid going through a trial process to check its success rate, gamification as a process has quite a lot to offer than just instilling a sense of competition among the employees.

    Some of these benefits are:

    • Creates a free portal for studying customer trends: Most end users of a product have online benefits where they sign up using an email id or social media credential to access different online platforms. The data entered by the customer generates the collection of all information given as well as helps monitor a customer’s trends, purchases, etc. This data generated can be helpful for companies to pick out essential stats to study and efficiently implement the same in their own businesses for further improvement of ROI.
    • Helps solve complex problems: Every business undergoes multiple problems that need resolving on a day to day basis. By encouraging its users to provide feedback at different intervals of time helps a business to crowd-source feedback and use it to strategize and solve complex business problems that may otherwise end up as bugs and deter the success of any business. This process also enables users to feel benefitted in earning points to unlock features or move on to other levels. This satisfaction ensures that the customer presents an accurate feedback and helps eliminate any other element that is irrelevant. The tool of analytics plays a major role in sourcing out the best data using the process of gamification.
    • Testing the market: When bringing in new products, companies can pick out its target customers with all the data collected and present their trial run with such customers to gain feedback for developing the new product or addressing any glitches that may have gone unnoticed during R&D. Essentially anything that is free of cost loses value in the market way too quickly. So having incentives for the users of trial programs helps get better inputs for business generation and also allows for a wide spectrum of analysis into understanding their customers’ needs better.

While these points listed are business oriented, gamification has proved to be successful in the educational sector as well. Through the process of education teachers instrument credit systems to engage the current “tech savvy” generation to be interested in a wide foray of topics beyond the curriculum.

The art of gamification has proved to be an excellent tool in the online marketing of a product or a service.
